Placebo Response and the Sequential Parallel Design – Statistical Considerations will be presented by Roy N. Tamura, PhD from the Eli Lilly and Company from noon-1:00 p.m. in the Claudia Nance Rollins Building, Room 1051. High placebo response contributes to a high Type II error rate for known active compounds. The sequential parallel design has been proposed as an alternative to the traditional parallel design clinical trial. Usage of the sequential parallel design in psychiatric clinical trials is growing and will be explored. Questions?
