Readiness for Reform-Due September 30
AAMC has announced the Readiness for Reform (R4R) Initiative, the “R4R Innovation Challenge,” recognizes transformational healthcare delivery programs that leverage the uniqueness of academic medicine and integrate innovations in research and education. Submissions are being sought in the following areas: innovations that serve the chronically ill across the continuum of care; coordinated primary care delivery systems that incorporate the AMC and community-based affiliates, and which have resulted in quality and cost improvements for individuals; redesign of care for specific medical conditions incorporating outcomes improvement; and, implementation of payment reform initiatives, such as value-based payment structures and approaches, and substantial achievements in improving quality while reducing costs.
