2024 Rotary Women of Impact for Wellness Advocacy Awarded to Dr. Tabia Henry Akintobi

The 2024 Rotary Women of Impact award for Wellness Advocacy was presented to Dr. Tabia Henry Akintobi on April 27, 2024. The award honored Dr. Akintobi’s remarkable contributions to community-engaged collaboration, research, education, and service leadership. The Wellness Advocacy Award celebrates women who have made a significant impact through service to, or with, marginalized communities both nationally and globally. It also emphasizes the promotion of gender equality and the advancement of health for girls and women.

Dr. Akintobi serves as Morehouse School of Medicine’s (MSM) Associate Dean of Community Engagement, Chair of Community Health and Preventive Medicine, Professor, Principal Investigator of the MSM Prevention Research Center, and Program Director of the Georgia Clinical & Translational Science Alliance (Georgia CTSA) Community Engagement program.
