The 4th Biennial Georgia CTSA Community Engagement Forum -Online Registration Ends Monday

This year’s theme is ONE GEORGIA: BUILDING BRIDGES TO IMPROVE QUALITY ACCESS FOR OPTIMAL HEALTH. Please join us as we highlight policy, practice and research partnership approaches that will advance healthier communities statewide -- urban and rural alike.

The Forum welcomes Rashad Richey, PhD, to kick off and moderate the first session on April 25th. Dr. Richey is a political and social strategist and activist with a strong media influence. He is the host of “Real Talk with Dr. Rashad Richey” on News & Talk 1380 WAOK; the political/social commentator for The People’s Station V-103; and he’s on television as the daily Political Analyst for CBS 46 News and Peachtree TV Atlanta, where he provides insightful commentary, special reporting and breakdowns of local, national and international news; his political commentaries are often picked up by local news affiliates across the country.

The Forum will also feature breakout sessions to build capacities towards stronger community-academic research partnerships, grants, and evaluations. Poster sessions will present initiatives and interventions led by community, academic, and policy leaders. Roundtables will foster and seed rural/urban collaborations to address opioid, cardiovascular, HIV/AIDS, maternal and child health disparities and advance collaborative health equity strategies.

Register for the forum by April 22, 2019
