ACTSI Investigator Dr. Guillermo Umpierrez in the News


Guillermo Umpierrez, MD is Professor in the Endocrinology Division of Emory University, Director of the Grady Memorial Hospital Clinical Research Network, ACTSI and Director of the Diabetes and Endocrinology section at Grady. He is a national and international leader in the field of hospital management of hyperglycemia and diabetes and has published several landmark papers and guidelines in the field of inpatient diabetes. He has published more than 160 scientific manuscripts and book chapters and has presented over 150 research abstracts at national and international scientific meetings. In his free time, he is training to run a marathon later this year. He ran a marathon in the year 2000 and says it is time to do it again before he turns 60!
