MD/MSCR Dual Degree Application
The Research Education, Training and Career Development (RETCD) Program of the NIH-Funded Atlanta Clinical and Translational Science Institute (ACTSI) is accepting applications for a clinical and translational research training opportunity for Emory Medical Students interested in careers in clinical and/or translational research. Stipends, student health insurance costs, tuition scholarships, and travel reimbursement are available to accepted applicants and supported by our NIH TL1 grant.
This dual degree track leads to a joint Emory MD/MSCR (Master of Science in Clinical Research) degree and is designed to prepare physician-scientists for patient-oriented medical research.
Current 3rd year Emory medical students must apply by March 15, 2011
The TL1/MSCR program can be combined with the Discovery Phase to enable medical students to have a 17-month block for research and research training.
A full description of the program, eligibility, and application instructions can be found at: www.ACTSI.org/RETCD.
