Personalized Medicine Awareness Day in Georgia, September 1, 2011

The ACTSI and its partners, Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM), Iverson Genetic Diagnostics, and Georgia Bio celebrated the first-ever Personalized Medicine Awareness Day in Georgia on September 1. To mark the occasion, a half-day program was held at MSM featuring Governor Nathan Deal, a keynote address by Leroy Hood, MD, Ph.D., a pioneer in biotechnology and genomics, remarks by Ambassador Andrew Young, and a panel discussion involving scientists from MSM, Emory and Georgia Tech exploring advances in personalized medicine and Georgia’s leadership in this innovative healthcare research.
