Dr. Collins Describes NCATS
NIH director, Dr. Francis Collins described the organization of the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS), the proposed new home for the Clinical & Translational Science Awards (CTSA) within NIH, in his proposal to Congress for the FY 2012 Budget Request. Dr. Collins also recently named Dr. Rajesh Ranganathan as his senior advisor for translational research. Dr. Ranganathan is charged with helping Collins shape the proposed NCATS.
