Anne Fitzpatrick, PhD, MSCR, APRN

Dr. Fitzpatrick is the first PhD trainee to complete the ACTSI KL2 program and has been very successful as an independent, junior investigator obtaining first a K01, and then an R01 (5R01NR012021) and other federal funding. ACTSI has supported Dr. Fitzpatrick through pilot project grants (Role of TGF Beta-Induced Alveolar Macrophage Dysfunction in Poorly Controlled Asthma) and through Pediatrics, CRN, BIP & BERD. Additionally, she gives back to the ACTSI by serving on the RETCD and MSCR program committees.
Research Focus
Asthma, chronic pulmonary aspiration, childhood asthma pathogenesis and biological factors responsible for severe asthma, and respiratory infection-hopes to identify biological factors responsible for severe asthma in children
