Institutes on Aging FOA on Translational Research
The National Institute on Aging announces two recently issued NIA FOAs on translational aging research. These FOAs are intended to broadcast NIA’s keen interest in facilitating translational research on aging on a broad range of topics and especially, the very early stages of the translational research process. The specific FOAs are: T1 Translational Research-Novel interventions for prevention and treatment of age-related conditions (R21) and T2 Translational Research-Research leading to new health care practices, community programs and policies affecting older persons (R21). The NIA T1 and T2 opportunities are both available in an SBIR mechanism with a letter of intent due on October 4 and the application due on November 4.
