Combined MR/PET Imaging: Exploring the Possibilities of an Emerging Technology-April 8
The new MR/PET scanner at the Emory Center for Systems Imaging permits, for the first time ever, simultaneous MR and PET imaging in human subjects. The scanner is one of four world-wide and one of only two in the U.S. The purpose of this event is to bring together the leaders of the other three MR/PET programs, and the Siemens engineers who designed the device, with scientists in the Atlanta community to explore the limits of the technology.
