Charles Raison, MD, ACTSI investigator and Emory University psychiatrist, was quoted on ABC News Good Morning America in the story FAA Lifts ban on antidepressants on April 2. Larry Greenbaum, MD, ACTSI investigator, Chief of Nephrology at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston, and Chief of Pediatric Nephrology at Emory, was recently elected to the Council of the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology (ASPN). Greenbaum is the first physician from Georgia to serve on the 10-person ASPN council and will serve until June 2013. Sarah Berga, MD, ACTSI investigator and Chair of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Emory, was elected president-nominee of the Society for Gynecologic Investigation. Viola Vaccarino, MD, PhD, ACTSI investigator, was named Chair of the Department of Epidemiology in the Rollins School of Public Health. Since 2005, she has served as Director of the Emory Program in Cardiovascular Outcomes Research and Epidemiology (EPICORE). Allan Levey, MD, PhD, ACTSI investigator and Emory neurologist, was featured in the article Two birds with one stone in treatment of Alzheimer's on the Emory Health Now Blog. Nanette Wenger, MD, ACTSI investigator, was quoted in the Los Angeles News Today in the article Medicalhorizon: caring for women's hearts on April 7.
