Michael Frankel, MD, ACTSI investigator, chief of neurology for Grady Health System, and professor of neurology at Emory SOM, was quoted in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution in the article It takes a good team to treat a stroke on April 26. Miriam Vos, MD, ACTSI investigator assistant professor of pediatrics at Emory SOM and CHOA physician was quoted by Voice of America for the story Large amounts of added sugars increase risk of heart disease on April 26 and featured in the article Spoonfuls of sugar help the risk of heart disease go up in the Emory Report.

ACTSI investigator and chair of Emory's Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Sarah L. Berga, MD has been elected president-nominee for 2010-2011 of the Society for Gynecologic Investigation (SGI), and ACTSI Pilot & Collaborative Translational & Clinical Studies program director and Vice-Chair for Research, Emory Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Robert N. Taylor, MD, PhD transitioned from president-elect to president of the SGI, beginning his one-year term.
