Emory Biostatistics Lecture Series (Summer 2008) registration is open, sponsored by Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics and the Atlanta Clinical and Translational Science Institute. Lectures will be 11:30 - 5:30pm on Monday July 28 and 12:00 - 5:30pm on Friday August 1, 2008, on the Emory campus. The Lecture Series provides an opportunity for clinical investigators, epidemiologists, applied statisticians, and research assistants to refresh, reinforce, and update their knowledge of commonly used elementary statistical methods, especially as they relate to biomedical research. NINR AREA for Health Disparities Research at Minority Serving Institution (MSI's ) (R15) (PA-08-171) National Institute of Nursing Research

The purpose of the NINR Academic Research Enhancement Award (AREA) for Health Disparities Research at Minority Serving Institutions (MSI's) (R15) is to stimulate health disparities and minority health research at minority-serving schools of nursing and to promote the development of minority nurse scientists as independent investigators.
