E-Research and the Changing System of Scholarly Communication Monday, June 9, 2008 from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm at Emory University Robert W. Woodruff Library, level 3 Jones Room presented by Clifford Lynch, Coalition for Networked Information Executive Director. This will discuss aspects of the developing changes in scholarly practice that are grouped together under terms like "e-science" or "e-research" and supported by investments in cyber infrastructure; and implications of these developments for the system of scholarly communication, with emphasis on the growing recognition of the central importance of managing research data and the increased reliance on virtual organizations.
