ACTSI Investigator Dr. Paula Frew in the News


Paula Frew, PhD, MA, MPH 
Dr. Frew is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases, a CFAR investigator in the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Health Education, and an ACTSI investigator, Emory University. As a research investigator, she explores the spectrum of community participatory outcomes related to HIV biomedical prevention research such as population willingness to participate, recruitment and retention issues, health messaging and communication about HIV/AIDS, clinical research, and assessing prevention product acceptability. In her free time, Dr. Frew loves writing screenplays and film directing. Read more

Frew received an NIH R03 award for “Delivering a ‘Dose of Hope’: A Faith-Based Program to Increase Older African American’s Participation in Clinical Research” and was recently awarded a small grant to participate as a faculty fellow in the Community Engaged Learning Faculty Fellows program.
