Dissemination of the Emory Electronic Conflict of Interest (eCOI) System
New eCOI System Enables Electronic Reporting
In collaboration with the ACTSI Biomedical Informatics Program (BIP) and RESK programs, the Emory Office of Research Administration developed and implemented an enterprise level software system for Emory investigators to report financial conflicts of interest in their research activities. The system is now used by the Emory Conflict of Interest Office, and is fully integrated with EPEX, Emory’s Grant proposal submission system.
As an example of dissemination of regulatory best practices to our ACTSI institutional and CTSA consortium partners, this software system is currently being evaluated by Georgia Tech and University of Florida for use as their institutional eCOI system.
